With advice from his father (another notable Sales Rep at Ernie Smith and Sons Roofing), a small loan and a small goal, Matt started his first business at ten years old. Throughout the years, his company has grown - he's maintained landscapes from large properties to small lawns. After starting and running his own business, Matt went on to receive the Boy Scouts of America’s highest rank of an Eagle Scout. After high school, Matt used his business to obtain his Bachelors in Business Administration, with a double major in Business and Economics at Houston Baptist University. During college, Matt began his career in the construction industry, working for a home remodeling company. After graduation, he jumped into the oil and gas industry, working in logistics and material management.
Acquiring his motorcycle and Class B drivers licenses, Matt has demonstrated knowledge required for many techinical skills. He's got his CPR, Firefighter I, II, and III certifications. He also holds a variety of other certifications today, allowing him to work offshore. He is dedicated to his community, including serving as a volunteer firefighter for years.
Matt prides himself on his trustworthiness and excellent customer service skills. He trains at the gym regularly, focusing on improving himself and others at every chance he gets. He's a family man, striving every day to teach his children how to take on the world with the desire to reach their full potential.
