These 6 guys (Misael, Victor, Ismael, Marlin, cannot read my writing on the other 2) worked really well together and so very hard long hours, were respectful of property, and were kind/friendly to me.

What made you choose our company:
Took 6 weeks to learn a bit about roofing so I could know enough to ask questions and narrow search for high quality companies. Ernie Smith and Sons (ESS) was one of three chosen companies to give a bid. Derek Kleinschmidt (ESS) was first to come and he did an excellent job inspecting attic, and third floor leak areas, evaluating, explaining options/products and was not in a hurry. The other salesmen (NEITHER came in house to look at leaks nor the attic; one didn't get out of his truck...just handed me the estimate, and the other took so long to get me the estimate) did not impress me. All 3 companies looked good on paper but ESS looked best. Meeting all 3 salesmen...WOW...such a stark difference between ESS and the other 2 companies. I was shocked. I was concerned the initial bad impression of the other 2 would be my experience for the entire roof replacement and customer care afterwards. All three did hand-nailed roofs. That is best (no nail guns please...I have seen what happens to a roof when those are used). All had quality products but I liked ESS products best. Ernie Smith and Sons: Is family owned by second generation. In business long time. BBB A+ with many awards. High ratings with great written reviews everywhere I looked. Free inspections once per year or whenever you have a concern. Quality, care, and concern for the customer. Derek represented ESS very well. Very professional. I didn't know this when I chose ESS but ESS has a supplement department to work with insurance company when damage is due to a storm for example. What a relief! Got more money than expected because ESS did such a thorough evaluation of costs. In conclusion, save yourself 6 weeks of research and just call for Derek Kleinschmidt at Ernie Smith and Sons.
