Sometimes it's just time to say goodbye to the past. This roof is getting a brand new makeover. Kudos to the homeowner for treating their home to a new top!
Look how different the new roof (left) is from the old roof (front)!
When "loading" the roof with shingles, it is highly important to be aware of where you place your stacks of shingles. Professionals will even out the load, as you see here. It is not wise to load the entire shingle delivery in just one, two, or three areas on the roof. We've heard the stories - some contractors have actually caused roofs to collapse in this way! Ensure your contractor is aware of issues that can arise, like this one.
These professionals are getting after it! Your roof is part of your home. We make sure the crew on your roof knows this. While the roof must be completed in a timely manner, we cannot sacrifice quality for speed. Besides, when you do your job correctly the first time, you won't have to waste more time by correcting your mistakes!
It is highly important that your roof ridge vent functions correctly. Not only do you want to make sure the plywood is cut back the right amount, but you also want to ensure the ventilation covers one end of your ridge ALL THE WAY to the other end. No short cuts!
This roof is done. All that remains is the magnet run and a final inspection by the supervisor on the project. The WPI-8 will be issued by the state (because this is a TDI-regulated area) and this customer will be all set!
This album shows a complete roof installation in Lake Jackson, TX. This job (as is many of our roofs) is located in an area regulated by the Texas Department of Insurance, due to it's close proximity to the beach. This means the rules for roofing must be closely followed, and third-party inspectors are called in to inspect our workmanship.
