On December 17th, 2015, Fred L. called our office and asked us if we performed roof repairs or if we only did roof replacements in Missouri City, TX. Our office lady, Cassandra, informed him we were happy to make repairs to his roof. Samuel was assigned that lead and he inspected Fred's roof for free. He determined there were two primary areas of concern. First, there was lifted flashing on a valley/headwall meeting. Second, one of his plastic boots on a PVC exhaust pipe was disintegrating.
Samuel gave Fred L. a quote on his roof repairs and they came to an agreement on the spot. That same week, Samuel called his repairman and told him where to go and what to bring. The plastic boot was removed, and underneath it the OSB decking was rotten. We removed the bad substrate and replaced it with like kind of material. We then installed a brand new lead jack (which will last for many years) and new shingles where the old shingles were removed.
In addition, we installed screws where the flashing was lifted. The screws we use in this scenario are roofing screws that have neoprene washers around them to prevent leaking for many years. Screws don't lift up as easily as nails do, so this flashing won't be an issue for a long time.
Mr. Fred L. was looking for a quick and efficient job done to satisfaction, and he received nothing less. The repair was completed within one week of the agreement, and Fre L. became an addition to our large extended family of satisfied customers in Missouri City, TX.
Mr. Barry B. (a long time customer of ours) called our office to request another inspection and repair at his home in Sugar Land, TX. another windstorm had blown up some of his shingles.
Our sales staff got to Mr. Barry B. as soon as possible, and got his repairs taken care of. When a repair is made, it is important to pass on as much information as possible from the sales staff to operations. Using technology, we are able to write on diagrams, aerial satellites, and photos. We are able to measure roofs from Google Earth, and we are able to use Street View to identify houses.
